What's New in Intrinio Products?

We're constantly improving the Intrinio platform by adding new datasets, expanding API capabilities, improving developer tools, and making it easier to build financial applications.

This page highlights major product announcements, new features, and important platform updates. Check back regularly to stay informed.

July 2026

Expanded API Coverage

The Intrinio API now includes over 239 REST endpoints spanning company fundamentals, equities, options, ETFs, technical indicators, economic data, filings, ownership data, market data, and much more. As new datasets become available, corresponding endpoints are added to the API documentation automatically.

Enhanced Developer Experience

Developers can now more easily discover the API endpoints available with their subscription directly from their Intrinio Account page.

From Account → Subscription or Account → Access:

  1. Select a data feed.
  2. Click View API Documentation.
  3. The documentation opens already filtered to the relevant endpoints.

You can also switch between:

  • My Endpoints — shows only endpoints included with your subscription.
  • All Endpoints — shows every endpoint available across the Intrinio API.

This makes it much faster to locate the correct endpoint for a specific dataset.

Improved MCP Server Experience

The Intrinio MCP Server continues to evolve into the fastest way to discover datasets and API capabilities.

The MCP Server understands your account permissions and can:

  • Recommend the datasets you already have access to
  • Suggest the appropriate API endpoints
  • Help build API workflows
  • Reduce implementation errors by avoiding unavailable resources

The MCP Server authenticates using OAuth 2.0 and supports official MCP SDKs for Python, JavaScript, and other supported languages.

New and Expanded Data Coverage

Intrinio's core plan packages continue to include comprehensive financial datasets designed for most financial applications.

Recent improvements include continued enhancements across:

EquitiesEdge® (Real-Time Derived Prices)

Our proprietary Fair Market Value (FMV) pricing engine provides real-time derived equity pricing designed to closely track exchange-reported prices while avoiding exchange agreements and exchange fees.

Includes:

  • Last Price
  • Open
  • Close
  • Volume
  • Pre-market Volume
  • After-hours Volume

Available through both REST and WebSocket APIs.

OptionsEdge® (Real-Time Derived Options Analytics)

OptionsEdge continues to provide real-time derived options analytics, including:

  • Synthetic Price
  • Implied Volatility
  • Delta
  • Gamma
  • Theta
  • Vega
  • Strike
  • Expiration
  • Option Type

Available via REST and WebSocket APIs.

US Fundamentals

Coverage continues to include:

  • SEC XBRL financial statements
  • Standardized financial statements
  • Company reference data
  • 130+ financial ratios and metrics
  • Institutional holdings
  • Insider transactions
  • Quarterly and annual filings

New SEC filings are typically reflected within minutes, with standardized financials generally available shortly afterward.

Platform Improvements

Faster Data Discovery

Finding available datasets is now easier than ever through both the Account Portal and the MCP Server.

Whether you're exploring documentation manually or using AI-assisted development, you can quickly identify:

  • Available datasets
  • Supported API endpoints
  • Included access based on your subscription

Bulk Download Improvements

Customers can continue downloading bulk data directly from their account. Depending on your plan, bulk downloads include Security Master, historical stock prices, and historical fundamentals.

During the free trial, bulk downloads include six months of historical data. Paid subscriptions unlock the complete available history included with the plan.

WebSocket Updates

EquitiesEdge WebSocket supports real-time streaming for large watchlists.

Typical configurations support approximately:

  • 500 simultaneous symbol subscriptions
  • Multiple concurrent WebSocket connections (depending on subscription)

For most applications, streaming 50–100 symbols simultaneously is well within the standard configuration.
