Many data providers sell one all encompassing subscription - you pay one price and get access to all of their data. Intrinio knows that most users only use a fraction of the data included in these types of subscriptions.

WHAT IS A DATA FEED?
Intrinio has broken its data into separate products so users only pay for the data they need. These products are called "data feeds" and when you subscribe to one of them, either with a paid plan or a free trial, you get access to the data included in that product.

You can see the different data feeds that are available in the Intrinio Marketplace.

There are hundreds of data feeds to choose from, so you can search and filter the marketplace to find the data types you need.

If you click on either data feed in our marketplace, you can see the data that is included as well as the price to start a subscription.

You can explore the data to see if you are interested in subscribing, take a free trial, and see the cost to subscribe to different plans.

Using data feeds enables Intrinio users to pick and choose the data types they need, creating a unique combination of data feeds that meet their needs.

This model ends up being far less expensive than purchasing a single subscription that includes everything, even data types you don't need.

WHAT IS AN ENDPOINT?

An endpoint is a function where you can choose the type of data you want to request. Intrinio offers an extensive list of endpoints, click here to see all.
Endpoints can be accessed via WEB API, CSV, and Excel.
For example, the Data Point endpoint will always return the latest/most current available:

Each endpoint or function, has a description and a URL, and you can copy it to your browser and see live results.
Each endpoint is specific, so there will be fields that must be filled in order for you to make a call:

In the example above, when requesting data via the Standardized Financials endpoint, you must specify ticker and statement, at least. Other fields that should contain information are: fiscal year and fiscal period. If you do not specify those, results will be TTM.

When you click on an endpoint, you will easily see a sample data. If you have access to request data, either via a trial or paid subscription, click on "switch to live data" to start pulling live data:
